and operational efficiency.As a leader in the global Procurement
Operations team, the appointee will play a pivotal role in
supporting Procurement's transformation agenda. The S2C Lead
develops and continuously improves the Contract Lifecycle
Management processes, systems, reporting, and maintenance. Key
objectives are to enable the comprehensive inventory and
maintenance of all BCG external supplier agreements and associated
supporting documentation and system content accuracy. Driving
optimal use of contract management enabling technology including
proactive engagement with internal stakeholders and suppliers on
contact collection and meta data validation. Supervises the daily
activities of the S2C function. Drives operational improvements and
compliance to associated SLAs. In partnership with process
engineers and transformation team and broader procurement and
accounts payable organization develops processes and procedures,
identifies process improvements, and associated monitoring.This
position reports directly to the Director of S2P Operations and
leads a Buyer Operations Function with the following critical
operational responsibilities.
- Contract Obligation management
- Contract Lifecycle Management
- Contract AdministrationPRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervises S2C operations responsible for collection of and
management of all third party agreements, content management, and
contact lifecycle management.
- Manage the development of a call for contracts to collect all
existing agreements.
- Coordinate the identification of all associated meta data and
ensure it is accurately reflected in contract summaries and within
the enabling technologies. Examples include Effective Dates,
Expiration Dates, Termination provisions, Pricing Schedules, Notice
Periods, Contact Information, Payment Terms, etc.
- Support contract reporting, including cross system reporting to
determine percentage of BCG Vendors Under Contract, Contractual
Gaps, Expiring Contracts.
- Work in Concert with the Item Master and Pricing / Catalog
Management to ensure Pricing and Catalog Management Activities are
consistent with Supplier Contractual Obligations.
- Support Category Managers with understanding and management of
contracts within their portfolio.
- Work with Contract Managers and Category Managers to ensure
they complete the necessary contracting summary documentation and
meet SLAs for moving the executed contracts into the contact
management system. This would include cross referencing project
tracking logs to identify executed contracts.
- Support Mass Changes in contracting assignments when team
member responsibilities change, employees leave the organization,
or merger and acquisition activities impact Contractual
Relationships.
- In coordination with legal services maintain the inventory of
contract templates and associated clause libraries and ensure they
are current.
- Maintain and update PO Terms and Conditions to reflect current
contractual needs.
- Support compliance with Contracting and Procurement Policies
and Procedures.
- Talent Management. Build and evolve the organization through
planning, mentorship, coaching, motivation, engagement, and
structure.
- Responsible for individual and team employee development. Sets
department objectives and monitors the status to achieving those
objectives at departmental and staff levels. Performance measures
can include on-time completion, cost savings, preferred provider
compliance, risk mitigation, ethical business practices and vendor
engagement, etc.
- Creates an enthusiastic, proactive, creative organizational
environment where team members are motivated to act as advisors to
identify new opportunities, support business priorities, and meet
customer and vendor expectations.
- Manages, leads, schedules, allocates and monitors work of S2C
team members.
- Develops and implements programs that drive highest quality,
lowest total cost and highest on-time delivery performance.
- Develops, implements, and maintains S2C operational procedures.
Evaluates S2C Operations to ensure it is operating effectively and
complying with procedures and policies.
- In concert with procurement, accounts payable, and other
functional leaders identify opportunities to reduce manual
processing and more fully automate end-to-end activities.
- In partnership with the analytical team and Director of S2P
Operations develops, organizes, and tracks operational
metrics/performance around Procurement activities. Monitors
performance against department KPI's and delivery results.
- Works with Sourcing team and other key stakeholders to align
contractual content and data mapping between the various purchasing
and payable applications and reporting tools. This includes
processes to collect and maintain payment terms, pricing schedules,
etc.
- In concert with Communications, Policy, and Training Manager
provide department and stakeholder level training, development, and
support ensure maximum performance, process excellence, and
compliance.
- Supports end of life activities with discontinued
suppliers.
- Completes other tasks as needed or directed by management.What
You'll Bring
- A Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field or a
minimum.
- 6-8 years' relevant procurement or supply chain
experience.
- Management and Leadership Experience.
- Deep understanding of supplier and BCG contractual legal and
business terms and conditions.
- Advanced knowledge of supplier or third-party management
software including RFX/Auction and contract Administration
tools.
- Application experience with Coupa or equivalent technology, ie
Ariba a plus.
- Strong Computer Skills - Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Power
Point.
- Accounting and mathematical skills to support discrepancy
resolution, and the review of bids and pricing proposals as well as
vendor contracts.
- Knowledge of current regulations, standards, and best practices
for S2P, and internal policies for compliance related to assigned
responsibilities such contract administration, lifecycle
management, and RFX/Auctioning Support.
- Attention to detail is a strong requirement.Who You'll Work

functional procurement team at BCG is a healthy, yet nascent
operating function that has generated material savings to BCG over
the past 5 years. Over the past 18 months, we've embarked upon a
procurement transformation to define and implement strategies,
organization, systems and policies to create a sustainable
operating model. This model should maximize value from our
suppliers, mitigate risk and meet savings targets. BCG is a highly
matrixed firm where purchasing decisions are often taken at the
local level, therefore this transformation will need to be carried
out with high levels of stakeholder engagement, alignment and
collaboration.The BCG Global Procurement function is currently made
up of more than 45 procurement professionals located in London,
Stockholm, New Delhi, Boston and Munich. This Sourcing Manager
position will be supporting our team with sourcing projects on a
strategic and operational level.Scope of work will be global,
regional as well as local, requiring procurement experience,
relationship building, sell-in capabilities and sensitivity to
local requirements. The individual taking on this challenge must
