Come enhance your career with us.BAE Systems, Precision Guidance and Sensing Solutions (PGSS) Product Line within the Precision Strike (PS) Business Area has an immediate opening for an experienced Systems Engineer specializing in support to our production efforts in our Strategic Missiles segment of the product line. This role will primarily support the supervision of up to 10 systems engineers that currently work in support of the THAAD Missile Seeker portfolio. The ideal candidate will work with other subject matter experts assisting with the failure resolution approaches, discussions with our prime customer and the US Government representatives. In addition, this role will be expected to learn and grow their technical knowledge of strategic missiles and the THAAD mission area. This role requires the candidate to be an outgoing, well-connected self-starter with a desire to grow the organization. Our engineers are members of cross-functional, multi-disciplined teams focused on developing cost-effective systems that meet the needs of our customers. Candidates should be comfortable working with teams of all sizes and enjoy a mix of creative design work, mentoring the next generation of prot--g--s, developing White Papers, presenting internally and externally, and leading test events. Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely. Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Hold an active Secret clearance
  • Bachelor of Science in an Engineering Discipline
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree with 10+ years of experience after the date for the completion of your Bachelor's degree, or 8+ years of experience after the date for the completion of your Master's Degree
  • Experience as a lead on one or more successful projects in the defense industry (US Army, US Navy)
  • Hands-on experience in all phases of hardware, from planning and architecture to implementation and testing, through coverage closure
  • Ability to drive activities to closure
  • Experience working with multidiscipline engineering teams
  • Motivated self-starter with leadership skills and ability to effectively work in a team environment
  • Excellent problem solving skills, judgment, and analytical capability
  • Experience presenting technical information to program teams and/or customers
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skillsPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills
    • Strong understanding of Product Lifecycle management processes
    • Previous people management/supervisory experience
    • Previous experience in the design of strategic missiles
    • Previous experience with EOIR, RF, PC board, gun-hardened design
    • Prior Project Engineer / Control Account Manager (CAM) experience, including managing earned value metrics, such as Cost Performance Index (CPI) and Schedule Performance Index (SPI).Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $140690 - $239140Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
