Job SummaryThis role is responsible for assisting the Team
Leader in all aspects of daily operations, including profitability,
expense control, buying, merchandising, labor, regulatory
compliance, and special projects. Key responsibilities include
leading and developing Team Members, ensuring a positive company
image, and providing courteous service to customers and Team
Members. The successful candidate will have strong leadership
skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track
record of driving sales growth and improving operational
efficiency.Key Responsibilities
- Develops and Maintains Store Layout and Product Merchandising -
Develops and maintains creative store layouts and product
merchandising to drive sales growth and improve customer
experience.
- Works with Team Leader to Achieve Sales and Labor Targets -
Collaborates with the Team Leader to achieve sales and labor
targets, analyzing sales reports and labor data to inform strategic
decisions.
- Assists Team Leader with Analysis and Budget Preparation -
Assists the Team Leader in analyzing sales reports, labor data, and
expense projections to inform budget preparation and ensure
accurate forecasting.
- Assists with Ordering and Inventory Management - Assists with
ordering and inventory management, ensuring accurate inventory
levels and minimizing waste.
- Works with Team Leader to Resolve Team Concerns and Issues -
Collaborates with the Team Leader to resolve team concerns and
issues, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Functions as Point Person in Absence of Team Leader - Functions
as point person and departmental person in charge in the absence of
the Team Leader, ensuring seamless operations and effective
communication.
- Maintains High Standards of Retail Execution - Maintains the
highest standards of retail execution, ensuring a seamless customer
experience and driving sales growth.
- Fosters Positive Team Environment - Fosters a positive team
environment, promoting outstanding teamwork, mutual respect, and
exceptional morale.Requirements
- 18+ Months Retail Team Member Experience - Possesses 18+ months
of retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory
experience.
- Strong Leadership and Communication Skills - Demonstrates
strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to
motivate and develop Team Members.
- Excellent Interpersonal and Customer Service Skills - Possesses
excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the
ability to provide seamless service to customers and Team
Members.Working Conditions
- Lifting and Standing - Must be able to lift 50 pounds and
stand/walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday.
- Exposure to Cleaning Chemicals and Extreme Temperatures -
Exposed to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals and extreme temperatures
(up to 90 -F) in a wet and cold environment.Note: This role
requires flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights,
weekends, and holidays as needed. The successful candidate will be
able to use tools and equipment, including box cutters, electric
pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
