our next Senior Director, Program Excellence to oversee and enhance
the project management function across the sector. This role is
pivotal in driving continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring
project success through effective leadership, strategic oversight

be at any major ES location. An onsite or hybrid work format is
available, with regular travel to Nashua, NH and Falls Church, VA
expected.Responsibilities:
Provide strategic oversight and
leadership to the project management function, ensuring alignment
with company goals and customer expectationsDirect the US Defense
Master Planning function, ensuring integrated master planning and
scheduling capabilities.Lead a team responsible for developing,
streamlining and maintaining project management guidelines,
competency frameworks, and training programsDrive lifecycle
management (LCM) reviews and support project teams during critical
phases such as proposal development, project initiation, and
production transitionChampion sector initiatives including PM
competency, earned value management and performance recoveryLead
the Project Management Leadership Team (PMLT), collaborating with
senior executives and functional representatives to shape strategic
improvements and build cross business area connectionsFoster a
culture of continuous improvement and digital transformation within
project management organizations.Collaborate with Business Winning
teams to implement best practices in proposal managementDeliver
executive-level briefings to internal stakeholders and external
customersRepresent ES sector on Project Management Councils, as
requiredRequired Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of
15 years of experienceDeep understanding of project management
lifecycle across defense, commercial, and international
contractsProficiency in DoD acquisition processes and
environmentsProven track record of implementing continuous
improvement and driving changeExperience in developing project
management training and adult learning techniquesStrong leadership
and communication skills with the ability to influence and achieve
resultsPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Project Management Professional (PMP)
Certification or equivalentSix Sigma Green Belt or higher
certificationFamiliarity with BAE Systems' product portfolio and
technologiesExperience collaborating in matrixed organizational
structuresAbility to manage and report financial metrics using
Earned Value Management techniquesMBA degree and/or advanced
certifications in project management or related fieldsPay
InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $194600 - $330800Please note:
This range is based on our market pay structures. However,
individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors
including, but not limited to: business considerations, local
market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate
qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. Employee
